Chain of Hope
Chain of Hope is a 501c3 grass roots organization with boots on the ground 7 days a week, focused on alleviating the suffering of abused and neglected animals within the urban core of Kansas City, MO. They formed in 2010 and have saved and improved the lives of thousand of animals in Kansas City, MO.
They provide necessary education, helping owners become aware of the crucial needs of their pets and promoting responsible pet ownership. They also provide medical assistance and free or low cost spay and neuter. Chain of Hope provides food, shelter, hay, ear gel, fly traps and flea & tick supplies for those in need. They rescue, rehabilitate, transfer and adopt out unwanted and homeless pets.
Chain of Hope’s mission is to reduce pet overpopulation by spaying and neutering all pets and encouraging others to do the same. Their ultimate goal is to break the chain of ignorance, break the chain of suffering, and break the chain of unwanted litters.
Melissa's Second Chances
Melissa’s Second Chances is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue in Shawnee, KS. They find homes and safe refuge for animals in need of a second chance to be a beloved family pet.

Ride Leash is a pet transport service that can take your dog or cat to and from any appointments if you can't make it. They have trained professionals that could take your dog or cat to and from their grooming or bathing appointments.
CritterHouseKC
CritterHouseKC specializes in finding foster homes and providing care for dogs in some of the most challenging situations, ultimately finding them permanent homes with loving families. They take in mamas and babies, pregnant dogs, orphaned puppies and those with a variety of special needs. They also have the opportunity from time to time to pull dogs released from commercial breeding facilities into our system. These pups require a special skillset to transition them from a life of breeding to life as a treasured family member.
CritterHouseKC was born from a collection of volunteers who have served the greater Kansas City area rescue community for decades. They understand the needs of area canines and potential adopters alike and bring a fresh perspective to the art of connecting the right pet to the right home.
Further, their great veterinary partners and their relationships with other rescue groups throughout the region allow us to offer low-cost adoptions after providing spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccination and microchips.
They are a licensed, privately-funded, 501(c)(3) organization whose generous donors and adopters are saving lives daily.
